Test webhooks and fix signatures
A live URL catches every request byte for byte and shows why its signature fails.

From first delivery to 200 OK
Capture
Paste your URL in the Stripe, GitHub or Shopify dashboard and trigger the event. Headers, query and body show up live, exactly as sent.
Understand
The sender and event are detected. The signature validator shows why verification fails, and Claude explains every field and writes the handler for your stack.
Fix locally
Run npx webhook-toolkit listen --forward localhost:3000 and replay the same request against your code until it answers 200.
Your URL, live
Send anything to it: requests appear here with sender, event and signature check.

Questions
How do I test a webhook without deploying?
Open webhook-toolkit.com: you get a public URL instantly. Paste it in the service's webhook settings (Stripe, GitHub, Shopify…), trigger the event and the request shows up live. To hit your local server, run npx webhook-toolkit listen --forward http://localhost:3000/webhooks.
Is it free?
Yes: the inspector, the CLI, the MCP server and the signer are free. An anonymous URL lasts 7 days; a free account keeps one URL forever. The 7-day Pass (€5, one-time) and Pro (€9/month) add AI analysis, 25 URLs, 30-day history and the Relay tunnel.
What does the AI do exactly?
On any captured request, Claude (Anthropic) identifies the sender and the event, explains the key fields, tells you how to verify the signature and lists the usual pitfalls. It can also write the complete receiving handler in Node.js, Next.js, Python, PHP, Go or Ruby.
How is it different from webhook.site or smee.io?
Like webhook.site you get an instant inspector; like smee.io you can forward to localhost from a CLI. On top: sender/event detection, AI explanations and handler code, signed test payloads, a Relay tunnel that returns your local response, and an MCP server so AI agents can use it.
Can Claude Code, Cursor or ChatGPT use it?
Yes. Add the remote MCP server https://webhook-toolkit.com/mcp (or run npx -y webhook-toolkit mcp). The agent can create URLs, wait for webhooks, read them, sign test payloads and verify signatures.
Is my data private?
Each URL has an unguessable token. Requests are kept 7 days (free) or 30 days (paid) and can be deleted at any time. Nothing is sent to the AI unless you click an AI button.
